Get to know a little more about our new Epic Athlete:
RooEpic: What had been your biggest accomplishment in your career so far?
Mikaela: Silver Medal at Inawashiro World Cup 2013. Member of the 2013 World Championships team.
RooEpic: What is your biggest fear?
Mikaela: Zombies! They are so creepy, and a small part of me feels like a zombie apocalypse is a plausible event.
RooEpic: How many hours do you spend training for your sport?
Mikaela: That one is tough, but I do count numbers. I have done 1,054 jumps on the water ramps this past summer, and last season skied 130 days. That does not include trampoline, gymnastics, or strength training. It’s seriously a full time job!

“Time is the force that magnifies all those little, almost imperceptible, seemingly insignificant things you do every day into something titanic and unstoppable.”

“It’s a quote from this book called The Slight Edge, and it’s a quote I have chosen to live by this past year or so. Some days it’s tough to seek the motivation to go to training – to jump in the pouring rain or ski in negative twenty degree temperatures, but it really is those small things and the constant battles that add up to create the person and athlete that you want to be.” -Mikaela
