Maddie Crowell Epic Athlete
Telluride native Maddie Crowell has been living in British Columbia for the last four years. Maddie is an extreme back country skier and mountain climber. Maddie’s fresh outlook on life is contagious! When we caught up with Maddie this summer, here is what she had to say:
“North Pole Peak. It’s a mountain right by my house and I’ve summitted it every summer since I could walk.”
Best day in BC?
“Rogers Pass February 21st, 2012. It was my best friend Jono’s birthday and we were snowed into the hotel at the top of the pass. We ended up touring the backcountry all day, hitting pillows, and skiing the deepest snow of my life. Our last run of the day was epic and we the whole crew soul shredded the best tree/pillow/pow/cliffdrop run I’ve ever skied. A true “RooEpic” day!”
What do you find inspiring?
“The mountains and my friends. Mountains make you realize how small you are and then make you want to achieve something you never thought possible. My friends push me to be the best that I can be and inspire me to get after it each and everyday!”
